Life is hectic! Life is too fast! Life seems to be leaving me in the dust!

Do any of those statements fit you? I know your pain. The earth seems to be spinning way too fast. There have been times when I felt I want to let loose and allow the world to throw me off of this planet.

Before I actually check out of this hotel called earth, let me share some things with you:

  • I have said this meaning times, but all storms stop and then there is the Son!
  • Everytime I face adversity I seem to grow. Though it is very hard, I am stronger.
  • When I see someone else who is hurting and I reach out to help them, its seems to help  me as well. If I bring a smile to their face, I have one on my face too.
  • If I fall into the muck and mire of life, God is always there to pull me out.

We need to know who saved us, and how He defines we are. Do you know who you are under God’s love?

Genesis 1:26-28

Let me put it this way. God created everyone of us in His own image. He doesn’t make mistakes. He created you for a reason.

You are very special. He didn’t create you like any other creature. We weren’t created to look like the animals of the forest. We weren’t even created to look like angels. We are totally created in God’s image.

We are more like God than any living thing.

Cling to this. Never feel you are inferior to anyone. God created man and woman and said there were create equal.

When you look in the mirror realizes that you are looking at God’s image. Be thankful he went as far as to create you in this way.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never,ever, give up.

Six days from today I will start to walk the path to recovery according to my Infectious Disease Doctor. That is the day I have my first session with an IV and some antibiotics put in me.

Am I done then? Not even close. I will have to go in everyday for a month to have the “Infusion,” of antibiotics put in me. Then it is up to another year of daily pills of antibiotics. Rigorous to say the least, but if it puts me back in good health. If it allows me to write these posts without too much pain. If my family is more at ease knowing I am going to be OK, it is absolutely worth it.

There is still a slim chance that I have cancer, and I have been referred to an Oncologist.  I see him July 1st and the final testing for cancer will be done. They have done three other tests, and they all came back negative, but cancer is s sneaky critter that hides in the dark.

No matter what the final prognosis is, I am ready. I have God with me. I have Jesus with me. I have thousands of Angels with me. With this mass Army on my side who can be against me? NO ONE!

The last three months have been hellish to say the least. Can’t move much. I feel lost in the fog of pain killers. I have sleepless nights. I have nights were I can’t even seem to be able to get up the next morning. Yesterday it took me three tries to lift my body out of bed.

You would think this guy must be huge to be having trouble lifting his body out of bed. I have been losing about a pound every day for about a month, and I am now 52 pounds lighter than I was ten years ago. Don’t think it is from overweight.

I willingly trek down this path I have been allotted. I have times of “Why me?” I have times of saying I can’t take another step, but God is right there saying,

“Get up and keep going. My Grace is sufficient for you. Show Satan he can not win. My only begotten Son had to face his temptations. Job had to endure his attacks on him health wise, and family wise. They both withstood the onslaught. So can you!”

This is my fortress. This is my hope on this Signs of Hope blog. My God is with me, and holding my hand. My family is near and with me 100%. I will win this battle. I will show Satan he will be grass, and I am the lawnmower.

If you are battling a similar battle. If you wonder if you can endure. Turn to God. He already knows your pain. He already knows the battle you are going through. He just needs you to ask Him to help you. He will pick you up out of the muck and mire, and find you shelter. He will remain with you during the storms of your life.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

This is Thanksgiving evening in the United States. People have gathered to be with loved ones, and enjoyed the feast of the day. Many are heading home from their gathering.

This begs the question: Now what?

Do we still have things to be thankful the day after Thanksgiving Day? When the dust settles do can we still find hope, and comfort?

It is hard to be thankful when we are suffering. It is hard to feel happy when we have storms and trials in our lives.

However, let me quickly share some Bible verses that may help:

Romans 5:3 says:

“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, character, and character, hope, and hope, does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the holy Spirit, whom he has given us.”

It would be easy for us to turn our backs on God when so much has happened to us. But, again Paul, in Romans 8: 35-39 tells, us, ” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written, ‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons. neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

So, on this Thanksgiving Day, we must seek ways to be content and joyful. Paul gives us that in Romans 12:12, 13

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need, practice hospitality.

Yes, we have much to be thankful on this special day of the year. What we need to do is remember what we are thankful on this day, and remain thankful through-out the rest of the year, with the wisdom that Paul shared with us.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

We keep track of the trends in the world and when there is a tragedy like some of the mass shootings, we write to those subjects the help those grieving, and hurt people involved.

When we talk directly to those people, our subscription rate goes up to over 100 a day. People want to hear more and seek to follow a site where they can get answers to such as:

  • Why does God allow tragedy to happen?
  • Why did I have to lose my loved one?
  • What can I do now that I lost my job, and my health insurance?
  • Who can I go to for help when I am depressed, and full of self-doubt?
  • Why do I have to go through so much illness in this world?
  • I need to know why there are so many storms and trials in my life?

I could write many more questions, but you get the picture. We try to give you the answers to those question, and by the huge sign-up of subscribers, it shows that we provide so help to many people.

God knows we are facing trials and storms. He allows them, but He helps calm them. He knows each and everyone of us. He made us in his own image. He didn’t even do that for the angels. If he cares that much to do all that, don’t you think He will take care of your hurts and needs? I know He has done that for me, and I have had six major surgeries, and may be need another soon. I fear not, because He tells me to fear not. I know I am in His care, and all things work for the good of those who believe.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!
