It is hard to be positive in our world today. Two wars going on, high inflation. high gas prices, southern border, crime rate, and many more reasons to be depressed.

There needs to be a way to think positive. Here are my thoughts:

  1. Wars end.
  2. The storms go away.
  3. Seek out God in prayer. There is a new tomorrow.
  4. Reach out to others to help them cope. It makes them, and you, smile.
  5. Read the Bible. It is full of hope.
  6. Go on a walk to clear out you bad thinking.
  7. Know that God is there with you every day.
  8. Call someone and cheer them up.
  9. Love your family.
  10. Seek out God in Prayer.

Be strong and face the wind. Show others how to make it through the day. If you are struggling yourself, pray for strength from God.

Thinking of the people in Maui. It is so sad the losses they have occurred. Many deaths and rising. Homes lost.

There is a dire need for all of us to pray for them at this time.

The even sadder thing is the response for our president. When he was asked his thoughts on it, he said, “No comment.” Really? The people are suffering, and he said no comment?

This made me very angry. I have been to Maui, and the people there are great people like you and I. A comment like that tears them down, not build them up.

Have you had people turn their back on you? Did you feel the hurt? If So what can we do to help with the sadness?

  1. Don’t let anyone degrade you. They seem to have their won problems.
  2. Do not strike back. They will be the winner in that situation.
  3. I know this may be awkward, but pray for that person. They have deep problems.
  4. The most important thing to remember is that God loves you very much.

  1. Looking at today’s headlines, I can’t help thing we are in trouble as a nation. The grandma article is especially disheartening.

2. As I was check all the headlines, there were several similar to this. What is happening? Are the people going bonkers? So sad.

3. I am so glad Mark Wahlberg is making his stand. He is one of my favorite actors, and he is showing me why.

4. The toxic mess in East Palestine is also hard to swallow. The government to trying to assure the people that the water is safe, and yet they are finding many dead fish, and birds.

  1. The winner is always part of the answer. The lost is always part of the problem.
  2. The winner always has a program. The loser always had excuses.

There have been many things that are happening that are pulling us all down like a huge magnate. Inflation, war in Ukraine, high crime rates, our southern border, gas prices. All this seems to be on the shoulders of our current president.

In reality it is something that probably would have happened no matter who the president is. Of course some of the things can be avoided, and I wish the president could see that.

Still struggling with arthritis in my right hip. I am taking Tylenol Arthritis pills t but there is still some pain there. I will see a specialist, soon to see if there is something they can do that isn’t surgery. I am told that I am too old for any kind of surgery.

How is your day going. Do you often wish you could just stay in bed all day? I certainly have been there.

Life is not a beautiful rose garden. There are too many thorns that can hurt us.

Lost relationships, overpowering bills to pay, lost job, depression. What can we do to overcome all of this:

  1. One day at a time.
  2. Face the storms, and you will become stronger.
  3. Never, ever, give up!
  4. Pray to God for His help.

Have you ever felt you were in the right place at the right time, only to find out you were in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Many of us have been there.

You say to yourself, “How did I get myself into this mess?” What just happened? I sure didn’t plan on this.

Bad opportunities always show up when your guard is down. Satan loves to surprise you and ambush you.

But that doesn’t mean you have to fall for the bad opportunities.

If you are fulfilled, and satisfied with your life. You are much less apt to fall for a bad opportunity.

Never let the darkside pull you down like a huge magnate.

Before you take the plunge into an opportunity take a long look at it through the peephole first.

I will putting on a rant and some anger today. I am getting very sick of the way our country is going.

Just yesterday, and teacher at a private school went public and proudly said he is sharing sex toys, and ideas on how to do some sexual things to his high school students. He thought he was great for doing it. REALLY??? I would be furious if was a parent of one of those students. Introducing to anything like this is up to the parents, not some creep in the schools.

President Biden tapped a fund that was to be used for something important to bale out unions, It was over 3 billion dollars. I was a union man, but this is going way too far.

President Biden was in Arizona recently, and was 100 miles from the southern border. He did not go to see what was happening there. He said there was more important things to do. I can not believe that!!!

The new Twitter owner, Musk has come out with shocking proof that Twitter was purposely eliminating all tweets that gave negatives views of any democratic people running for office. It did many other things to disrupt the election of 2018. It also hide all reverences to Hunter Biden’s laptop. That is criminal.

Ok…I am done with the ranting. I am sorry for this, but it has been building up in me for years.

We need to think of positive ways to make it through our days. It is hard, at best, to do os. here are some of my thoughts on that:

  1. Forget the past, live the present, and look forward to the future.
  2. Do not believe much that you see on the national TV networks.
  3. Stop watching news that sounds very fishy.
  4. Concentrate on pleasing God, and not people.
  5. Love your family and keep close to them.

There Needs to be Ways We Can Help Turning Our Country Around

I have decided to do some changes to this site to make it more interesting. Let me know in the comment section below what you think.

_______________________________________________________________________________________OOur country is heading in the wrong direction. Inflation is sky high. Gas prices are terrible. Thousands of illegal immigrants are crossing our southern border. Corruption is running wild in our government. The crime rates are out of sight.

It is hard not to be depressed when this is happening. So what can we do to try to overcome all of this:

  1. Write to your congressmen and women. Let them know you aren’t happy on how things are going.
  2. Support positive causes. I will not list them here. Check them out.
  3. Teach your children what is right and wrong. This will change the world.
  4. Be strong in your beliefs.

How you are you holding up? Is all this turmoil overcoming you? It is reassuring to me that God is with me. The comfort I feel is beyond definition. I know He is watching over me, and guiding me down the right paths. He is my fortress, my tower of strength, and my protector.

Be Strong Through the Overwhelming Storms of Your Life

I lost a couple of battles, but won the war. I am now clear of COVID-19.

I had some scars from it. I was told that I have lost hearing in my left ear. The doctor thinks it may come out of that though.

I had a horrible iron reading from a blood test I took. The high is not supposed to be over 300, mine is 752. That could cause huge damage to my liver. I did an ultra sound yesterday and I am OK for now.

Some wonderful news is that I had A-fib for years, but I had testing this week and the girl said I was back in regular beat since July 24th.

The COVID virus can cause some serious side effects, but can help you on occasion.

There are many people like that.

So what can we do to counter attack all of this?

  1. 99% of what we worry about never happens. Give the rest to God.
  2. Be strong and help others who are going through the same things.
  3. Know that God is with you 24/7.
  4. Persevere through the storms of life.

I know it can be hard at times. I have been there, but your strong example to others will go a long way in their lives.

Be the helper.

Be the supporter.

Be the calmer.

What is Freedom, and How do we Find it?

I have been missing for almost two weeks. On July 3rd, I came with the COVID virus. It was tough for three days and then I started doing better. Then on July 12th my family left for Hawaii. It was very hard for me, because I had to use a walker, and some of the walks were pretty hard on me.

Freedom is something we all want to have, but what is freedom?

Dictionary.com says:

  1. The state of being free, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.
  2. Exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.

It is clear that we want all of that.

Do you feel like you have full freedom? We won’t have true freedom until we let God guide us on our paths.

We all have the power to do what we ought to through God.

Something that is difficult to understand for some is that the Holy Spirit is inside you once you accept the Lord. With the Holy Spirit in us, we can fight off the darkside. God’s love shines when all else fails.

We need to know that sometimes God allows pain and suffering in us. He doesn’t cause it, He allows it and Helps us through it.

Think of each of us as wine. In the crushing and pressing we are made into new wine.

I Thought I was a Dead Man Walking.

Sorry I missed a couple of posts. I was in the hospital.

Here is the whole story…

I started having dark stools. I mean pitch black. I called the gastro clinic, and tried to make an appointment. The lady that answered looked for some openings and told me it would be a least a month out to get an appointment. She then told me that she would put me on long a waiting list, and hope for an opening would come from a cancelation.

I thought it would be dangerous to wait that long and was checking other cities for their gastro people.

Before I could make an appointment, the same lady called me back and said there was a cancelation. THAT HAD TO BE GOD!!

I got in to a PA lady, and she told me that I needed to go to the ER. I asked why. She said it would take to long to treat me there.

So, my wife and I went to the ER. When we got there the waiting was pretty light. It still took us three hours to get in.

I got in and a lady doctor came in and asked me questions, and said turn over. She whipped my rear and walked out. (Embarrassing moment.)

They decided I needed to have the resident gastro doctor come in to see me. He did come in and asked a bunch of questions. He decided I needed to have him look inside me, and that would happen within the next hour.

The time came and they sent me to la-la land. When I woke up they told me that I had four polyps in my stomach that was causing the bleeding. They took them all out and said I should be OK.

They kept me over night to make sure that it was success. My next “sit down,” showed a beautiful brown stool.

I was able to go home later that day.

This was pretty traumatic for me. This is because they told me what it could be before they did the procedure. I didn’t like any of the choices.

Colon cancer

Stomach cancer

Ulcer

It was none of the above..

It was that the polyps were bleeding.

Have you had something similar to this? Have you wondered if you were going to be OK?

FEAR NOT!! I have no question in my mind that God was in charge in my situation.

  1. a canceled appointment the same day I called? Impossible!
  2. They found nothing from their scary list? Amazing!
  3. The quick recovery? Thank you Lord!

God made everything work for me, and He will for you too. You just have to believe He will.

Never think everything is lost. God is right there with you. He will guide you through the storms.

I always say, 99% of what we worry about never happens. Give the rest to God.
