Current news…

  1. President Biden gave a report on the shooting down of several UFO’s. I was more confused after he got done.
  2. Russia thinks they are winning the war, but far from it. They have lost over 140,000 soldiers, (So far)
  3. The Southern Border has become a disaster area. Thousand of illegal immigrants crossing the border every day. Four border guards have committed suicide.

Daily rants…

1.Why does it take so long to shoot down a Chinese balloon. The balloon went all the way across our country and close to many military bases. What is wrong with this picture?

2. President Biden is trying to tell us that inflation is slowing down. Check your grocery bill. Eggs are up 74%. Many other items are as well.

3. There is just way too much crime in our country. The DA’s are getting very leinute with the criminals. They get arrested and are out the same day.

Important thoughts…

  1. A loser sees a problem for every answer.
  2. A winner sees a green by every sand trap.
  3. A loser see two or three sand traps near every green.
  4. The winner always has a program.
  5. A loser always has an excuse.

Be a winner.

People Aren’t Happy The Direction That Our Country is Going

I know that this site is called, Signs of Hope, but I am going to rant for a little bit:

  1. President Biden say that inflation is going down. Well it is still 40% higher than normal.
  2. President Biden is allowing thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants to cross our southern border.
  3. Food prices has skyrocketed.
  4. Heating bills are out of control.
  5. Biden will not let us do our own oil drilling, so the gas prices are incredible.

I have other rants, but I think that is enough for now.

Millions of people are fighting depression, anxiety, and have a pessimistic look on life. That is not good for our country.

What can we do to survive this delima?

  1. Take it one day at a time, and be strong.
  2. Be careful of what you buy.
  3. Hunker down for the next two years.
  4. Storms come, but they go away.
  5. Never let the darkside dictate to you what your life is like.
  6. Above all…never, ever give up!

We also need to remember that God is with us 24/7. He knows our problems, and will protect us during the storms of life.

Pride is a Master of Disguise. It’ll Pull You Down.

Pride is a worthy opponent in our lives. It can control us. I have had problems with pride in my own past. I am certainly not proud of it.

Pride is a master of disguises. It can seem innocent, but it pulls you down like a huge magnate.

Here are some other thoughts about pride:

  1. We must humble ourselves and fight against the sin of pride.
  2. The essence of pride is a spirit of independence.
  3. We must depend on God to see us through our own pride.
  4. We can’t let Satan pull us into his schemes.
  5. We must trust that God will finish what He started in us.
  6. Social Media can sway our thoughts.
  7. It is easy to feel alone, but we are not alone.

To put this all in one perspective, we need to perfect our thoughts, confirm our thoughts, strengthen our thoughts, and establish our thoughts.

When we do all of that pride has no business in our lives.

Never Forget God During Your Stormy Days

It has been quite a ride for me the last four weeks. I got COVID on July 3rd, and now I am just at the tail end of Post COVID.

I am down to battling severe fatigue. I get up in the morning and feel pretty good, but by noon, I am exhausted. I see my primary doctor on Friday.

I am repeating a section of a previous post to remind me to stay the course with God.

Remembering God

  1. The way to remember is to keep God’s ways.
  2. The way to remember is to walk on God’s paths.
  3. The way to remember is by not giving any opportunities to forget.
  4. The most important way to remember is by humble surrender.

Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.

Take Care of Yourself During the Tremendously Heat

I am slowly getting my strength back from a bout with COVID. It has been a battle, but the last of the symptoms seem to be going away.

The temperature has been sky rocketing the last few days. It was 101 yesterday, and it will be 99 today. Not a good day to run a race. At the moment our AC is working great and that is a relief.

_____________________________________________

What has your days been like? Are you also sweltering in the heat? Most of the country is.

I wonder what we can do during this time of overwhelming heat.

  1. Drink lots of liquid. This is a very high time for getting dehydrated.
  2. Wear loose and light clothing. Let the air penetrate your clothing.
  3. Stay inside as much as possible. If you have to go somewhere, make sure there is air-conditioning where you are going.

I have also been struggling weakness in my legs. I have to use a walker now to get around. It isn’t fun, but I like the security I have when I try to walk. Do you also have some things you are struggling with? Do you need help? You certainly not alone.

If you need help ask for it. Do not hide your discomfort. People would love to help you that love you.

Remember that God is with you 24/7. He loves you and made you in His own image. He would do that for no reason. He wants what is best for you. Pray for His protection and love and He will deliver it to you.

I Won the War With COVID, and Hoping Everyone Else is Doing Well

I have had quiet a ride the last week. I was hit hard with COVID. I seem to have won the battle. I see my doctor today to verify that. I am very sure that if I hadn’t taken my shots I would be gone now.

Have you had similar things happen to you? Have you been hit with a sudden illness? You certainly are not alone. Over a million people have died from COVID. Doesn’t seem to be any let up insight.

We need to rely on God. We need to cling to His promises. He is in charge and He will take care of us if we ask.

Many people feel the world owes them something. What follows is a list of what many people strive for when they have pride.

Manifestations of Pride (appear one at a time)

  • A lack of gratitude in general (2 Chronicles 32:25).
  • Being irritated when people don’t see your gifts, your abilities, or your importance. (1 Corinthians 4:7)
  • Being consumed with what others think (Galatians 1:10)
  • A lack of service (Galatians 5:13, Ephesians 2:10)
  • Being disrespectful to authorities (1 Peter 2:13-17)
  • Not having close relationships (Proverbs 18:1-2, Hebrews 10:24-25). Self-sufficient, don’t need other people.

Do you relate to anything on this lists? If so, do a check on what you need to do to escape this trap.

Always Get a Second Opinion on Important Matters

I had an appointment with a surgeon on Friday. We were going to discuss having surgery on a hernia I have. His take on it was that he doesn’t want to do the surgery because of my age, and medical issues.

He is having me get a device that I will have to wear for the rest of my life that will push the hernia back into place.

I was not happy with his decision and will ask for a second opinion.

Have you been told you can’t do something? Did it seem wrong for them to say that?

Never accept someone’s thoughts on what you can and can not do. Check with other people who may know more about what you are going through. Get you own second opinion.

Storms Come Storms Go, But God is There for You

We got hit by a surprise snow storm that lasted three days. We were in lockdown. 7 inches of snow isn’t much,but there are far too many people who don’t know how to drive in snow.

I got a lot done around the house, so I wasn’t too upset. What did happen however, was that I couldn’t go anywhere, because my wife needed to drive my four wheel drive vehicle.

I had too much free time, so a I read. Best thing that could have happen to me. I love to read, and it was very soothing.

Have you had sudden storms in your life? Car broke down. Your child is sick. The end of your money came before before the end of the month. The pandemic has hit your friends and family.

What we all need to do is pray. Pray for God’s intervention. He knows our needs and all we have to do is ask. Why should we have to ask? I see it as God is our heavenly Father and wouldn’t you ask you earthly father for help if you needed it?Of course we would.

There will be storms ahead, and we need to be strong and face them with God’s help. Never give in to the darkside. Be strong.

Our sins Come From Our Own Heart

The Pastor of my church talked to us about the end times, and what we need to do to feel comfort during that time.

He didn’t lay out a rosy picture for us. He said, “To bring people to the true love of God. They will have to face much conflict, pain and suffering.”

I found out later he was referring to the non Christians. That didn’t make feel too much better, because I have close friends who are not christians, and this will happen to them.

He shared with us how we give in to sin. It is within ourselves. It comes from our heart. We can block out everything around us that is wrong, but just one second of weakness and we are lost.

STAND STRONG!!

It is two days after Christmas and I am feeling the aftermath of eating the wrong things. We had two gatherings with great cooks at each one. It seemed like some kind of contest. Try my new dish! Is mine better that the others? So of course, I had to try all of them to find out.

I got home after these two events, and was feeling pretty tired and weak. It wasn’t from illness, it was from being a gluten.

It has been a loooong year! So much turmoil, and people getting sick all around us. The pandemic just doesn’t want to go away. I thank God that he has spared my family from all of this.

We all have to cling to God’s robe during these trying times. He is there for us 24/7. He will watch over you if you ask Him. Never give up when it is getting so tough.
