It is hard to be positive in our world today. Inflation, wars, high gas prices, Southern Border, and much more. All of this is hitting us every day.

______________________________________________________________________________________

People need to come up with ideas, and thoughts to fight back. There is no need to have an negative attitude no matter what is happening. It causes too much stress.

We need to get in the trenches and go to war with all of this. (I am A veteran. ) 🙂

Here are some thoughts and ideas to try:

  1. Do not spend all day watching the depressing news. It is hard anymore to find anything but depressing news.
  2. Go for long walks and forget about the world. I have done this and come have back refreshed.
  3. Call friends to let free your frustrations. They will comfort you.
  4. Read the Bible. The truth and much love is there.

______________________________________________________________________________________

If your are reading this and still feel down, remember God is there for you 24/7. He knows your hurts. He loves you and He will help you. Just ask Him. (Prayer)

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Are you like me in that you hate to wait? In the military I was told, “Hurry up and wait.” We hate waiting in lines. We hate waiting for the mail. We hate waiting for the red light to change.

_______________________________________________

What can we do to avoid waiting.

  1. Patience is always a good approach.
  2. Do not battle things you can not change.
  3. Pray for God’s protection.
  4. Help others who are struggling with waiting.

I have been feeling pretty good the last few days. My wife put me on a new schedule for my meds, and it is working. Much less pain.

__________________________________________________

Have you ever wondered, “Why me?” I certainly have. I seem to have more than my share of afflictions. I thought about this, and here is want I think:

  1. You are better off than some, because they have much worse afflictions.
  2. Feeling sorry for yourself Doesn’t stop the pain.
  3. I complained about having to use a walker, until I saw a man confined to a wheel chair.
  4. God has a purpose for us even in our pain.

__________________________________________________

Stay away from the negative, and grab the positive. It makes you life much more livable. Thank God for each day you get. Like I said, He has a plan for you.

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

I have come to the decision that I am going to change the format of my blog. It may be slow and steady, or a may do a complete change with one post. Come back Monday and check what I am doing.

Today will be the last one of the format I have been using for 13 years.

__________________________________________________________________________________

I have some quick thoughts on God:

  1. God has no future. He’s already there.
  2. God has no potential. He’s almighty.
  3. God has no surprises. He knows everything.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Have you ever wondered if God loves you? It sometimes seems like He has a muffler on His ears.

The truth is that God has His timing, and we have ours. We want everything yesterday not next week. God knows no time. He is eternal. He will answer your prayers in His time.

It also may not be the answer that you want, because God knows what is best for you even though it may not fit what you was thinking. Realize that what He comes up with is the path you need take.

___________________________________________________________________________________

I want to apologize for not posting as often as I should on this blog. I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my hips, and it is very difficult to sit for very long while I am doing my posts.

I will do my very best to continue sending you Signs of Hope.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Remember:

You are never alone,

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Where’s the milk? Out in the garage. Where’s the jam? Out in the garage. Where is the refrigerator? Out in the garage. The stove, and the dishwasher are out there too.

Yes, we are doing a major remodeling of our kitchen. They have torn up the old floor, and today they are starting to put in the new flooring. Then the den will get a remodel! So the TV will be gone, and all the furniture as well. The end product will be beautiful in the end.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Have you had your life disrupted by remolding? Are you trying to make you life better, but have had to move many things from your past to the garage?

It is very difficult to do, I agree, but in the end everything will be beautiful.

We all have time when things need to be changed. A divorce. A lost job. Too many bills. The list goes on and on.

Time to remodel your life. Put in new hope. Put in new freedoms. Pay off those bills. Regroup and remodel after that divorce.

It is very hard work, but the end results is a new you and happiness.

__________________________________________________________________________________

AND remember God is there with you. He knows your hardships. He knows your needs. Talk to Him about it and he will make your paths easier.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Has been busy the last few days. We had to move everything out of our kitchen, and den. I mean everything. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, TV and console, Had my family come over to move it all, and I am looking at a living room stacked high with extra furniture.

We are having hard wood floors being put in the kitchen area, and a new carpet in the den. It will look beautiful when it is all done, but then you have to put everything back!

__________________________________________________________________________________

Pretty hectic, but worth it. Have you had disruption come into your life. Did things happen you didn’t expect?

It happens to all of us. One day peace, the next day, chaos. We need to adjust and hang on for dear life. Thoughts on this:

  1. Storms come, but they leave eventually.
  2. Always be prepared for things to happen, because they will.
  3. Always know that God is there for you. He knows you problems. Pray for His protection and love.

Some Have Been Betrayed, and are Bitter Because of it

Some of you have been betrayed, and you feel bitter. You aren’t alone. I have been there myself. You think you are a victim. We want to know how we can get justice. We live with resentment, which is recalling the event.

_____________________________________________

Don’t sit there and lick your wounds. Get up and praise God for the day!

  1. Make sure that no one misses your grace.
  2. Make sure no bitter roots spring up.
  3. Make sure that no one is immoral, or worshiping other gods.

We have to be careful, because the seeds of bitterness makes us by-pass the cross. The seed of bitterness hurts us. Bitterness harbors hostility. There is devastation with bitterness.

People who are bitter:

  1. Are very sensitive.
  2. Have no gratitude.
  3. Harshly criticizes others.
  4. Hold grudges.
  5. Have mood swings.

So how do we get rid of bitterness?

  1. Repent and confess before God. Open your heart.
  2. Focus on God’s grace towards you.
  3. Replace your bitterness with the pursuit of holiness.

Final thought:

Death’s power over me is as dead as my sin.

Being Impatient is Something We All Struggle With

_____________________________________________

Have you ever had a time when you couldn’t wait? Was there something you really wanted, but it hadn’t come yet. We have all been there and done that.

  1. We wait for the right relationship.
  2. We want our careers to be much better. NOW!

Being impatient can happen to us as Christians as well. We want our prayers to be answered fast. We pray for peace and it doesn’t happen.

___________________________________________

We need to regroup and remember that God is in charge. He knows our needs, He hears our wants. He answers prayer for what He feels is best for us. Wants and needs are totally different things. God know our needs and waits on our wants.

One thing we never have to be impatient for is the reading the Bible. The Word of God lasts forever. Even though there are many translations God’s Word never changes.

I just went outside to look at our roses. There are many buds ready to open up[.God gave those to me to see. But even to flowers fade and die away. God’s love never fades. His love is sincere for us forever.

_________________________________________

We need to realize that everything we have was given to us by God. That is why I never hesitate to tithe at church. The money was all God’s in the first place.

___________________________________________

My thoughts are…Take everything Lord. It is yours.

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.
