Well, I told you on Monday that I was in the hospital for black stools. I have been home for one week and a new ailment has come knocking at my door. It is bad stomach cramps, plus constipation. There is much pain in several parts of my body because of it.

It seems similar enough that I may have some more difficulties with Polyps. I see my Gastro doctor on July 1st, He may know what to do right away. (I hope)

___________________________________________

Sorry I am sharing such unpleasant things right now, but that is what is in my world right now.

___________________________________________

How are you doing? Do you have health issues? Does it seem hard to face life, because you are suffering so much?

I hear you. It isn’t fun to go through this.

There’s things to remember through all of our adversity:

  1. All things come to an end eventually. Be strong.
  2. All pain should be used to help others. Go to someone who is suffering and help them.
  3. I always think of the pain Jesus went through for us on the cross, and realize my pain is pretty small.

___________________________________________

God didn’t promise us a rose garden, but He has many other promises we can cling to. Persevere and He will reward you.

Never let the dark side pull you down. Stand tall and know that God is in Charge.

___________________________________________

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Sorry I missed a couple of posts. I was in the hospital.

Here is the whole story…

I started having dark stools. I mean pitch black. I called the gastro clinic, and tried to make an appointment. The lady that answered looked for some openings and told me it would be a least a month out to get an appointment. She then told me that she would put me on long a waiting list, and hope for an opening would come from a cancelation.

I thought it would be dangerous to wait that long and was checking other cities for their gastro people.

Before I could make an appointment, the same lady called me back and said there was a cancelation. THAT HAD TO BE GOD!!

I got in to a PA lady, and she told me that I needed to go to the ER. I asked why. She said it would take to long to treat me there.

So, my wife and I went to the ER. When we got there the waiting was pretty light. It still took us three hours to get in.

I got in and a lady doctor came in and asked me questions, and said turn over. She whipped my rear and walked out. (Embarrassing moment.)

They decided I needed to have the resident gastro doctor come in to see me. He did come in and asked a bunch of questions. He decided I needed to have him look inside me, and that would happen within the next hour.

The time came and they sent me to la-la land. When I woke up they told me that I had four polyps in my stomach that was causing the bleeding. They took them all out and said I should be OK.

They kept me over night to make sure that it was success. My next “sit down,” showed a beautiful brown stool.

I was able to go home later that day.

_________________________________________________________________________________

This was pretty traumatic for me. This is because they told me what it could be before they did the procedure. I didn’t like any of the choices.

Colon cancer

Stomach cancer

Ulcer

__________________________________________________________________________________

It was none of the above..

It was that the polyps were bleeding.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Have you had something similar to this? Have you wondered if you were going to be OK?

FEAR NOT!! I have no question in my mind that God was in charge in my situation.

  1. a canceled appointment the same day I called? Impossible!
  2. They found nothing from their scary list? Amazing!
  3. The quick recovery? Thank you Lord!

God made everything work for me, and He will for you too. You just have to believe He will.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Never think everything is lost. God is right there with you. He will guide you through the storms.

I always say, 99% of what we worry about never happens. Give the rest to God.

Sorry I missed Wednesday. Not feeling all that well right now.

I have made a list of things I need to follow through on offering spiritual sacrifices:

  1. Worship.
  2. Pray.
  3. Encourage.
  4. Comfort.
  5. Proclaim.

Each of those are a priority for those who want to reach out to help those who are suffering, and need help for themselves.

A. Worship-Hebrews 13:15

B. Prayer-I Thessalonians 5:5:16-18

C. Sharing-Hebrews Philippians 2:1

D. Encouraging-Hebrews 3:13

E. Comfort-2Corinthians 1:3-6

F. Proclaim- I Peter 2:9

____________________________________________

  1. Worship-Therefore, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise.
  2. Prayer-Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.
  3. Sharing-Command them to do good, to be good in reach deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
  4. Encouraging-But encourage one another daily.
  5. Comfort-Trust that you have not failed the test.
  6. Proclaim-Praise Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

I am having a bad hair day. I fell yesterday and the second day aches and pains are here visiting me. It was at my niece’s house and didn’t see that her living room was a step down to get into it. I hit my grand nephew’s stroller and landed directly on my right knee. It scraped up my knee, but today it is hurting on the inside of knee in the bones as well.

______________________________________________

Have you had some falls? Do you have aches and pains from everyday efforts? You certainly are not alone. For people my age, (82) falling is not an uncommon thing. I am now living with a cane.

______________________________________________

Do not let this drag you down like a huge magnate. We will always have aches and pains.

I could say, “Buck up and quite whining,” But I feel for you. Getting older is not for sissies.

______________________________________________

Here is my list to cling to during my aches and pains:

  1. Remember the pain that Jesus had to go through for us. Our pain is nothing compared to that.
  2. I use my ailments to reach out to others. It helps them, and makes me feel good.
  3. Never let the darkside control your thinking. It is easy to be depressed all the time if you let that happen.

______________________________________________

I know that if you cling to God’s promises the pain won’t feel as bad. He is there for you. He knows your aches and pains. Pray for His protection, and comfort. He listens.

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

I am off to the Oregon Coast today. Weather says it will be nice. Looking forward to it.

______________________________________________

I have been wondering when all my pain will go away. I have had so many different ailments and hurts it is hard to be positive all the time. I still manage to do that.

______________________________________________

How do I keep that attitude?

  1. All pain will cease when I am heaven.
  2. Jesus suffered much more than I can ever imagine.
  3. Suffering builds character.
  4. Suffering can be used to reach out to others who are suffering.

______________________________________________

I realize that what I am saying may be a little over reaching my abilities. However God has sustained me so far. He knows my pains. He knows my needs. He knows what is best for me. So I cling to his promises, and you should too.

_______________________________________________

If you are suffering, I am so sorry, but try to use your suffering to help others. Try to seek God’s help through prayer. he will hear your pleas.

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

Today is Memorial Day. A day where we honor those who gave their all to protect our country. It is fitting to say thank you to every veteran also you see today and in the future. I am a veteran myself and am proud I could serve.

_____________________________________________

I am going to do some rambling today. First I want to talk about Jesus feeding 5,000 people with one basket of fish and bread. He said, “We need to feed all of these people, who has food to share? Well, with 5,000 people there you know many had food with them to feed their children or themselves. None one stepped up.

Finally a little boy came up with a basket of two fish and a loaf of bread and said, “This is all I have Lord, but maybe it will help.” Jesus smiled at him and he started feeding all the people out of that one little basket. He kept reaching in and pulling out fish and bread.

The faith of a little child. We all need that.

Now I am going to really shift gears and share some things I have learned from reading the Bible. These are negative words found in the Bible and their meaning:

1.Deceit-The act of lying or cheating.

2. Malice- Wishing harm on someone else.

3. Hypocrisy- A person who pretend to be different or better than he really is.

4. Envy- A feeling of wanting what someone else has.

5. Slander- A false statement or statements made to hurt ones reputation.

______________________________________________

General thoughts

  1. Read God’s Word.
  2. Ask..What do I need to get rid of?
  3. Who can I share with about God?
  4. Families are valuable.

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

“One day older and deeper in debt.” Those lyrics from a country western song fits perfectly in our world today.

  1. Inflation is running wild.
  2. Gas prices are soaring.
  3. Food prices are skyrocketing.
  4. The pandemic is causing many to look for ways to pay for it.

__________________________________________

How can we survive in this kind of world?

The simple answer is that God even feeds the little sparrows. Don’t you think He will take care of us?

In my early days of marriage we were so poor that we had to turn the oven on to help heat the house. We were not sure we was going to make it until the next paycheck.

Somehow money kept coming in that we didn’t expect. It paid the bills, and kept us fed.

___________________________________________

God is there for you. He knows your problems. He knows you are struggling. Never feel you have been abandoned by God. He will never forsake you or turn hIs back on you.

___________________________________________

Never let the darkside convince you that all is lost. Look to the light of Jesus. Pray for protection from poverty, and worries.

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

Being Impatient is Something We All Struggle With

Have you ever had a time when you couldn’t wait? Was there something you really wanted, but it hadn’t come yet. We have all been there and done that.

  1. We wait for the right relationship.
  2. We want our careers to be much better. NOW!

Being impatient can happen to us as Christians as well. We want our prayers to be answered fast. We pray for peace and it doesn’t happen.

___________________________________________

We need to regroup and remember that God is in charge. He knows our needs, He hears our wants. He answers prayer for what He feels is best for us. Wants and needs are totally different things. God know our needs and waits on our wants.

One thing we never have to be impatient for is the reading the Bible. The Word of God lasts forever. Even though there are many translations God’s Word never changes.

I just went outside to look at our roses. There are many buds ready to open up[.God gave those to me to see. But even to flowers fade and die away. God’s love never fades. His love is sincere for us forever.

_________________________________________

We need to realize that everything we have was given to us by God. That is why I never hesitate to tithe at church. The money was all God’s in the first place.

___________________________________________

My thoughts are…Take everything Lord. It is yours.

My wife just got home, and she is sick. Prayers would be nice.

____________________________________________

Have you had sickness in your family lately? Did it worry you alot lot like I am worrying right now.

My wife has too many of the bad symptoms for the virus. I made her lay down, and I have the test kit to check to see if she has it.

____________________________________________

God just reminded me that 99% of what we worry about never happens. He wants me to turn my worries over to Him.

I have a chapter in my first book called, “Worry is the dark room where negatives are developed.” That is so fitting for me right now.

I need to be calm and trust God to care for my wife. He knows what is going on and I need to turn her situation over to Him.

____________________________________________

Never think God doesn’t want to listen. He just needs us to reach out to Him for help and He will be there for us.

____________________________________________

My thoughts are…pray always, and without ceasing. Paul tells us that.

I had a wonderful lunch with a neighbor today. We have become good friends and we are planning to meet often for lunch.

______________________________________________

Do you even know who your neighbors are? Have you tried to get to know them? I have the luxury of seeing the mailbox from my window where everyone comes to get their mail. When I see them come I go out to greet tem. There is a friendly exchange and we go on our way.

Why do I do that? Because it is an easy way to learn about your neighbors. We had an area meeting of all the homeowners in my neighborhood, and the one thing that was said is that people like meeting people at the mailbox. I started that.

I am not telling you of this to brag. I just find it as a way to keep up with everyone around me.

__________________________________________

God wants us to mingle with others and share our stories. He wants us to share our beliefs. I have found that sharing has opened many doors for me to witness. It isn’t something I force on anyone. It just comes up in a conversation.

__________________________________________

Do an inventory of how your reach out to others. Do you need to improve? Do you not like mixing with others to talk?

Pray for God’s guidence on how to do that. He will help you in your conversations through the Holy Spirit.
