I am at the Oregon coast. Spending a few days to try to relax. It’s working. Beautiful sunsets, and great restaurants.

It seems to me That this country I going in the wrong direction. Everything is off from where it should be, High inflation, gas, groceries, restaurant prices. Then there is the border crises, the war in Ukraine, and it goes on and on.

I know, it seems like I am whining, but I love my country. I am a veteran who served, and want what is best for our country. That isn’t happening right now.

I must be active, and share my dislike for what is going on. I need to write my congressmen and women. Never sit on your couch and allow the waves to come in over your head.

Always be strong in your beliefs. Honor God, because as we all know, He is in charge. Pray for His wisdom in your life. Seek His promises. It seems He is allowing too much pain, but in reality He has a plan for us, and we must be patient and wait.

I have been feeling very weak lately. I am sure it is because I can’t exercise. I have a hernia that is too painful if I exercise. Seeing a doctor to see if he will do surgery on it.

I am going to spend a few days at the Oregon Coast. A friend has invited me to come and stay with him. This will be much needed relaxation.

What would we do without friends? I mean close friends. You have some that are acquaintances, but a true close friend at hard to find. I have a few like my friend I am going to visit. He is a guy I can spill my guts to and never fear it will get to other people.

Do you have close friends? If not, reach out and get to know new people. There will be a diamond in the rough there somewhere.

Close friends are vital for you and I to have.

But, we have a friend in Jesus and the song goes. God is there for us as well. They love you and want what is best for you, so seek them out as your true best friends.

I have been fighting with myself lately. I have trouble with the war in Ukraine. I feel deep sadness for the people of Ukraine. They are being slaughtered for no good reason. Russia is raping is also the women.

In my opinion war crimes are rampant there. There should be a tribunal checking it out.

That doesn’t help me at all, because you can’t bring the people back.

Still remodeling at my home here. The kitchen has new wooden floors that look beautiful. On Friday there will be new carpeting in the den.

Then of course we have to put everything back. I am surrounded with furniture as I sit here typing.

FEAR NOT! Storms come, and they go away. Stay strong and weather those storms.

Sometimes we get dealt lemons in our lives. We just need to adjust and overcome them.

Remodeling Can be disruptive to your life.

Where’s the milk? Out in the garage. Where’s the jam? Out in the garage. Where is the refrigerator? Out in the garage. The stove, and the dishwasher are out there too.

Yes, we are doing a major remodeling of our kitchen. They have torn up the old floor, and today they are starting to put in the new flooring. Then the den will get a remodel! So the TV will be gone, and all the furniture as well. The end product will be beautiful in the end.

Have you had your life disrupted by remolding? Are you trying to make you life better, but have had to move many things from your past to the garage?

It is very difficult to do, I agree, but in the end everything will be beautiful.

We all have time when things need to be changed. A divorce. A lost job. Too many bills. The list goes on and on.

Time to remodel your life. Put in new hope. Put in new freedoms. Pay off those bills. Regroup and remodel after that divorce.

It is very hard work, but the end results is a new you and happiness.

AND remember God is there with you. He knows your hardships. He knows your needs. Talk to Him about it and he will make your paths easier.

Murphy’s Law is, Bad Things Will Probably Happen

Has been busy the last few days. We had to move everything out of our kitchen, and den. I mean everything. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, TV and console, Had my family come over to move it all, and I am looking at a living room stacked high with extra furniture.

We are having hard wood floors being put in the kitchen area, and a new carpet in the den. It will look beautiful when it is all done, but then you have to put everything back!

Pretty hectic, but worth it. Have you had disruption come into your life. Did things happen you didn’t expect?

It happens to all of us. One day peace, the next day, chaos. We need to adjust and hang on for dear life. Thoughts on this:

  1. Storms come, but they leave eventually.
  2. Always be prepared for things to happen, because they will.
  3. Always know that God is there for you. He knows you problems. Pray for His protection and love.

President Biden Made a Speech that Divided Our Country.

Going to have lunch with a friend after I finish this post. Applebees, is having all you can eat boneless wings. We are going to see if we can rung them out of them. 🙂

Went to see a foot doctor today, for hammer toe. It is a painful curling of my big toe on my right foot. He gave me some ideas on how to help, plus going to an insert specialist to get insert put in to help.

I was very saddened by the speech President Biden gave the other day. It certainly wasn’t a speech to unite our country. Made me upset, and I am a democrat. He needs desperately to try to bring our country together not further apart.

________________________________________________________________________________________ No matter what you party connection is we need to stop this horrible division our country is in, and try to work out our differences.

How are you doing? Had life stepped on your feet and given you pain like I have? It is tough to be positive in our world today. Inflation, Border crises, food prices. Gas prices, and the list goes on.

I think we need to regroup and realize that God is in charge. He knows what is going on. He is not happy, but He allows us to make up our own decisions and most of then aren’t good right now.

My Pastor yesterday told us the end times are coming and we need not worry if we are Christians. I find comfort in that.

If you are not a Christian turn you life over to God right now and find peace.

Our Country is Divided, Need to Find Ways to Unite

Things are getting dicey in our country. There is an even divide in our country of far left liberals, and far right conservatives. This is causing strive to our country. Some say there may even be a civil war.

It is sad to see so many people angry and steadfast in their political beliefs. We must understand that we are ONE country and should do everything to unify.

I have been having health issues lately. I mean I have been seeing doctors almost every day. Not fun, but I am strong in believing God will take care of me. He knows my aliments, He knows my needs. He loves me, and will be there for me.

How about you? Are you battling ailments daily? Do you wonder if God cares? Of course He does. he made you in His own image. The cows aren’t in His image. The birds are not in his image. Only you are.

There Needs to be Ways We Can Help Turning Our Country Around

_______________________________________________________________________________________OOur country is heading in the wrong direction. Inflation is sky high. Gas prices are terrible. Thousands of illegal immigrants are crossing our southern border. Corruption is running wild in our government. The crime rates are out of sight.

It is hard not to be depressed when this is happening. So what can we do to try to overcome all of this:

  1. Write to your congressmen and women. Let them know you aren’t happy on how things are going.
  2. Support positive causes. I will not list them here. Check them out.
  3. Teach your children what is right and wrong. This will change the world.
  4. Be strong in your beliefs.

How you are you holding up? Is all this turmoil overcoming you? It is reassuring to me that God is with me. The comfort I feel is beyond definition. I know He is watching over me, and guiding me down the right paths. He is my fortress, my tower of strength, and my protector.

Normal is not Coming Back, but Jesus is Coming Back

A friend saw the title of this post on a T-shirt. I think I want one.

My Pastor started a new series this Sunday called, the end times. I thought, this could depressing. I was totally wrong.

The end times will end up being a wonderful time if you are a Christian. Think on this:

Everyone who believes will be pulled up into heaven all at once during the rapture. There will be no pain or agony during this moment.

Grace came to you through Jesus dying on the cross. It will come again during the rapture.

If you are not sure if you will be sent during the rapture, do the following:

  1. Repent. Ask God to forgive you.
  2. Return to fellowship at your church, there is so much support for you there.
  3. Remember…no matter how old you are, God is not through with you yet.

Jesus came in as the lamb and he will come back as a lion.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Never think you are beyond being accepted during the rapture. God loves you as you are. Just confess your sins and enjoy the ride.

Are You a Drunkard, or a Law Abiding Christian Person?

We had our home built. It was fun to watch it growling into a beautiful home. That was 22 years ago and we are still here. One thing that I noticed is how much the trees have grown. They were planted as little starts, and now they are 40 feet high.

That reminds me of our life. We are were little starts at one time, and grew up. It is what we grew up into that counts.

You can grow up to be an outstanding citizen who achieved may things, or you can be a drunkard lying in the gutter. Pretty stark comparison, but it happens over and over again.

How do I make sure I am on the right path?

  1. I stay with the truth. God is real, and He is my guide.
  2. I never try to create a new doctrine. the bible is my doctrine.
  3. I could have been that guy drunk in the gutter, but I chose the right path, and I am very proud of the many things I have accomplished.

How about you? Are you the drunkard, or do you like where you are at? If you do not like where you are at, it is never too late to change. God is always eager to open up to you. He will guide you the rest of the way.
