Life is Livable With God There With You

Below is a post I sent out in January. An update will be below it.

It has been a long haul. I have been in the hospital of six days. During the fourth day I had a near death experience. There was a nurse checking my vitals, and she left me in the middle. What I saw was she was watching the main monitors, especially my blood pressure. She left quickly, and came back with several doctors, and nurses.

It seems that my blood pressure was crashing. It went from a good 122/60 to 80/40. If it continued I would die. They kept watching it, and eventually it started coming back up. I wasn’t told what happening.

After six days in the hospital, I was sent to a rehab facility. I was there for 30 days, and finally came home.

I am slowly progressing. Being able to do this post is an example. I couldn’t have done this before, because I couldn’t be sitting that long in one spot.

I am now able to sit in my recliner as long as I need to now doing many things, even exercises.

I am now able to walk around my home with a walker. There are even times I take a few steps without it. I am progressing fairly fast now. As a matter of fact my wife and I are going for walk outside when it warms up a little. That is huge for me.

Have you had some terrifying accidents or illnesses strike you down like happened to me?

Here is what I have to say about that:

I would not even be able to exist right now if I didn’t have God by my side. He was there during my worst days to comfort me, and help me with the pain.

Never feel you are alone when something happens to you. God is there 24/7.

I Had a Near Death Experience, But I am Back

After six days in the hospital, I was sent to a rehab facility. I was there for 24 days, and finally came home.

I am slowly progressing. Being able to do this post is an example. I couldn’t have done this before, because I couldn’t be sitting that long in one spot.

I am able to sit in my recliner as long as I need to now doing many things, even exercises.

This is my post for today. I will be doing three posts a week, in the future starting Wednesday.

What a week I had. My cardiologist started me on a new pill last week and it caused havoc with my blood pressure. It went from 120/65 to 99/59 Any time my pressure is below 110 I am not feeling to well.

The new pill is actually very good for me. My doctor said we just need to monitor and adjust meds to get the blood pressure at the right spot.

What is working good is that my shortness of breath had been lowered significantly.

I see that some Afghan interpreters are finally landing in the US. There are still so many stranded. They served us well and we can not leave one person behind. We never would do that with our own soldiers.

President Biden made a statement that I found rather dumb yesterday. The businesses were complaining that hey could find people to hire. His answers was, “Pay them more.”

REALLY?? They are struggling big time right now and you want them to pay more for their help?

What is your world like in this not so friendly world? Is it getting to you?

I find that I am overwhelmed some days with all the negative reporting you see on TV and in the papers. Don’t they see how they are forcing people into depression? Could they just have an uplifted report once and a while?

I know…they see that sensational negative reports get more people to watch. However, they could back off just a little.

Never let the negative things in life pull you down like a huge magnate. Turn them off, or block them out of your life.

Take up reading or go on lots of walks. Much better for you, and refreshing. A good book to read? How about the Bible, the number one best selling book in the universe? Full of good news, and guidence we all need to follow.

Well, this old man is having issues again. My blood pressure is dropped big time. 105-59 is pretty low. Any time my blood pressure drops below 110, I seem to be in trouble. I see my cardiologist this afternoon.

Well you come to my pity party??? 🙂

What do you binge on?

  1. Eating?
  2. Chocolate?
  3. Shopping?
  4. Fishing?
  5. Netflix?

My binge is ice cream. I have never seen a flavor I didn’t like.

Binging can certainly cause problems and yes, we need to control them. You first. 🙂

Things I have learned this last week:

  1. You don’t have justice if you don’t have truth. This is sooo happening in our world today.
  2. The first order of love is that they are human beings. So many treat others like they aren’t worth of love.
  3. If you love someone tell them often.
  4. Be kind to everyone and it will be returned.
  5. Never turn your back on someone in need.

Storms Come; Storms Go, But God Will Never Forsake You

I am still struggling with various health issues. Today it is severe shortness of breath, and dizziness. I could blame the dizziness on when I look at my beautiful bride, but the shortness of breath has me concerned.

My blood pressure is great. My heart capacity is at 36 which isn’t too bad for my age.

Something is not right though. Hope to find out soon.

Our country is in turmoil. There is a 50/50 split in beliefs in the United States. Because of this nothing can get passed in Congress, and there are people suffering because of it.

We need to pray for our governments both national and local. Pray that they will make good decisions that will help the people, and not necessarily themselves.

It seems to me that we all face storms these days. The storms may be a serious surgery coming up. It could be that you are out of a job, and there are bills to pay. It could be a break up of a relationship you have.

We need to remember that all storms pass. Then we have the SON.

Jesus is our fortress during the terrible storms we face. He can calm them down so we can handle them better.

When ever I know a storm is coming I pray ahead of time for God’s love, compassion, and protection.

Never take on this world alone. I can’t imagine trying to face my storms without God in my life.

If you seem to have more than your share of pain and headaches from the daily trials of life. Turn them over to God. He has tremendous shoulders for you to lean on.
