Today I am going to share some quotes I have picked up over the years for you to ponder:

  1. What do I do if a problem comes to me? Nothing! I need to go to God and pray.
  2. Do I think more about myself, or do I think more about God?
  3. God has abundant blessings for us, but the power of Satan is against us.
  4. How much Time do I spend reading God’s Word. Not nearly enough.
  5. A tea cup sitting along a coast line can be filled with water when a wave comes in. But just think how much water there in the ocean. That is how much love God has for us.
  6. Flee the bad things, and seek the righteous ones.
  7. Not everyone in your church is pleasant.
  8. How has God worked in unseen ways in me? What work has He prepared me for?
  9. We need to reach out to those with afflictions to show them ways to rid themselves from them.
  10. What work does God want me to do? What excuses do I use to not do them?
  11. I love my children and my grandchildren, but they are loved much more by God.
  12. There are billions of ways to be wrong, but only one way to be right.
  13. God does not make robots, but we become robots because we program our minds to walk down the path that heads away from God.
  14. We need to set a day aside to worship God through prayers, devotions, and reading the Bible.
  15. God is everywhere. You can be with God when you fish, travel, lie in bed, but to worship Him we should be in His Holy House to worship Him with others.
  16. Pagans can be very religious, but not follow the true God.
  17. There is no such things as a metaphor about same sex marriage from Genesis to Revelations.
  18. In the olden times one goat is sacrificed, and the other is the “Scape Goat,” who is released into the desert.
  19. Satan loves to nip away at us until we are beaten down, and our faith is fading way.
  20. Every person has an assignment from God.

How do We Handle Someone Who Hates Us and is Very Hurtful?

I am feeling much better today. The side effects of the COVID-19 shot are gone. So many people still haven’t even received their first shot. They need to increase the amount of the shots, and move quickly.

I had a “run in,” with a Facebook guy today. He was very bitter with life, so I took it on myself to try to cheer him up. He wasn’t very receptive.

He was despondent over the fact that I had the nerve to post these words,

” Have you been in an outhouse all of your life? Want to live in a penthouse? Let God be the throne of your life. He will raise you up out of the muck and mire and build a mansion for you.”

His reply,

I’ve heard that many times before. But I always end up in another outhouse. Can you please get god to explain why he’s not giving me what you keep promising?’

My reply,

“The mansion is in Heaven. Our time on earth for a short time. Enjoy it.”

His reply,

*Very graphic from here on. He became very bitter and attacked me verbally.

“Well, that doesn’t do me any good until I’m &%*#@! dead.

My reply,

“Sorry you feel that way. Hope everything works well for you.”

His reply,

“You are not sorry! You are just another con artist with nothing realistic to say. Everyone should just cry now and do some more dope. Get yourself an emotion meter and stick it up your &%$#! Then wait for God to unplug you.”

His last reply,

“Listen dummy when I say goodbye it doesn’t require any response.

My heart cried out to him. He is in a very dark place, and has allowed this world to overcome him. The only way to free himself from his world is to turn to Jesus.

This type of person is all too common in our world today. They flounder around; not knowing where they are going, and are lost and struggling.

There needs to be people near him to love him and let him know there is hope. He thinks there is no where to go, and yet it is staring him in the face.

Does God love someone like this? Of course He does. He loves everyone. God doesn’t go checking how good or bad you are, God still loves you.

This man who attacked me, needs to find hope and love, I am asking for you to pray for him. I will not give you his name even though I know it. Pray and God will know who you mean.

How are you doing? Are you drowning in the muck and mire and, can’t see a way out?

God picked me up from the muck and mire, and got me on the right path. He can do that for you too.

Do not let the dark side overcome you like it has for this Facebook person. Seek the light of Jesus. He will guide you on your path.

Idols Will Fade Away, But Not God

What is an idol? It is something you love more than God. It is taking the place of God. Do your idols control you?

We all have idols. They could be something material, or it could be someone in your life. Here are some examples of both:

  1. A fancy car.
  2. That great boat of yours.
  3. Joe Biden, or President Trump.
  4. A huge mansion.
  5. That Harley Davidson.

There are many more that I can think of, but this gives you an idea.

In Biblical times the Egyptians had hundreds of idols. One came back to haunt them. The frogs came into their homes and everywhere else, as one of the plagues. (There are only so many frog legs you can eat.) However, the most important one for them seemed to be the sun.

The worshipped the sun everyday. They offered sacrifices to it. Idols can destroy you like it did the Egyptians back then.

Do you have idols? Are they more important to you than God? What do you need to do to put God first in your life? I suggest spending time in the Bible every day. The Word is wisdom. It can’t be destroyed like some idols.

I have learned that I need to use my time wisely. I am not sure how many breaths I have left. I want to use them to worship God and to share His love. I can’t say that I don’t have time for God. He should be first, and I should be spending most of my time with Him.

Do you feel more atoned to your I-Phone, or your Fit Bit watch than to God? They can become idols. My wife tells me that I spend far too much time on my I-Phone. I checked and I have to agree. I average 7 hours a day on the phone. Ridiculous!

Put together your priorities. My I-Phone should be near the bottom of the list.

Here is some of my priorities:

  1. God
  2. Family
  3. Church
  4. Reach out to help
  5. Always have a positive attitude.
